PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of adjusting density of output paper without changing settings of predetermined information that is registered in association with a paper feed tray even if paper is fed from a paper feed tray different from that during execution of a print job.SOLUTION: When performing output paper density adjustment for adjusting printer γ characteristics by measuring density of a patch printed on paper by a color sensor 32, an image forming apparatus performs the output paper density adjustment by supplying paper from an alternative tray, and using paper setting information (types of paper and correction data of a density sensor) that is set to a paper feed tray of a print job, regardless of paper setting information that is set to the alternative tray (regardless as to whether or not the paper setting information set to the paper feed tray designated in the print job coincides with the paper setting information set to the alternative tray). |
