PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a relay drive device in which a drive circuit for coil energization and a control unit controlling energization of a coil by the drive circuit are mounted on the same substrate, and which is capable of taking appropriate countermeasures for heat generation at a resistor for coil current suppression present in the drive circuit.SOLUTION: At ON-drive of a relay 5, firstly, an FET 1 is turned on to configure a feeder circuit 7a for a coil 5b by a first circuit 7b in which there is no resistor R for coil current suppression. A short time later, an FET 2 is turned on, and after chattering of a relay contact point 5a is resolved, the FET 1 is turned off to switch the feeder circuit 7a to a second circuit 7c in which there is the resistor R. Thereafter, when a voltage VB of a power supply B becomes higher than that at a normal time, the feeder circuit 7a is intermittently and alternately configured by the first circuit 7b in which there is no resistor R and the second circuit 7c in which there is the resistor R. |
