PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of toner achieving both of low temperature fixability and heat-resistant storage property and capable of forming an image with high definition.SOLUTION: The production method of toner includes at least a step of aggregating a binder resin, and the method includes: a step of obtaining a polyester resin dispersion liquid through a dissolving step of dissolving a polyester resin in an organic solvent containing an ester solvent to obtain a polyester resin dissolution liquid, an emulsifying step of emulsifying and dispersing the polyester resin dissolution liquid in an aqueous dispersion medium to obtain a polyester resin emulsion liquid, and a solvent removing step of removing the organic solvent from the polyester resin emulsion liquid; and the aggregation step of aggregating the binder resin including at least the polyester resin in an aqueous medium including the polyester resin dispersion liquid. The polyester resin dispersion liquid obtained after the solvent removing step includes the ester solvent and an alcohol solvent. A concentration A (ppm) of the ester solvent and a concentration B (ppm) of the alcohol solvent satisfy the conditions expressed by 200≤A≤1000, 50≤B≤1500 and 0.2≤B/A≤7.5. |
