[Also in Group XXVIII] An arrangement for locking the sleeve members in a telescopic umbrella comprises a roller 4 mounted on a leaf-spring 3 which is secured to one of the sleeve members 1, the roller 4 passing through an opening 5 with member 1 and engaging an opening 6 in the other sleeve member 2. The whole may be journalled in concave portions 8 of the leaf spring or may have a central bore which is engaged by projections on the leaf spring, Figs. 4 and 5 (not shown). |
