<p>RAIL FENCE RETRACTOR A rail fence retractor (10) allowing removal of a fence rail (5) engaged with a 5 fence post (3) comprising a blade (12) having a first and second end. The first end of the blade (12) has a thickness and width allowing insertion into a fence post slot (6) having a rail (5) inserted therein. The rail has self-locking tabs (7) which must be depressed for removal of the rail (5) from the fence post slot (6). The fence rail retractor (10) also has a handle (11) which is attached to the second end of the blade. The handle (11) allows the 10 application of force against handle (11) to fix the position of the handle (11) against the fence post (3) during removal of said rail (5) from said fence post slot (6). The handle (11) of the rail fence retractor (10) may be configured to allow integration with the blade (12).
