摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device and a driving method thereof, which hardly generate variations in a current value due to the characteristic variations and deterioration of a light-emitting element.SOLUTION: The method of driving a display device including a transistor, a capacitive element, a light-emitting element, a source signal line 101, and a current supply line 107, the light-emitting element emitting light with brightness corresponding to the current value determined by the transistor includes: operation for inputting a first potential to the source of the transistor; operation for inputting a video signal to the gate of the transistor from the source signal line; and operation for holding a potential difference determined according to the first potential and the video signal in the capacitive element and changing the potential of the source of the transistor into a second potential. The capacitive element holds the gate-source voltage of the transistor, so that even when the potential of the first electrode of the transistor is changed, the gate-source voltage is made constant to make the current value constant.
