PURPOSE: A separating method of scrap iron from wastes is provided to separate abandoned materials not containing iron while transferring the waste containing iron on the conveyor, and to sort the scrap iron by size. CONSTITUTION: A separating method of scrap iron from wastes comprises: a first step of putting the waste containing iron into the hopper (10) of the system separating scrap iron from wastes; a second step of sorting the wastes put into the hopper and transferred on the conveyor (20) by designated size in a first cylindrical sorter; a third step of sorting the waste, which is sorted as a bigger one than the designated size by the first sorter (30a), into scrap iron and the waste not containing iron in a first magnetic sorter (40a), and primarily storing the waste; and a fourth step of sorting the sorted scrap iron by size using a first screen (50a), and colleting the same.
