Disclosed are a method, system and device for achieving multicarrier in a relay transmission system. A relay device can determine load information about itself and report same to a base station in a relay transmission system. The base station further determines at least one component carrier for bearing a load corresponding to the load information according to the obtained load information, and sends the carrier information about the determined at least one component carrier to the relay device, and the relay device can perform carrier configuration according to the carrier information sent by the base station. According to the technical solution, a base station can distribute at least one component carrier for bearing a load corresponding to the load information about a relay device to the relay device according to the load information about the relay device, thereby being able to increase the system capacity of a relay transmission system through at least one component carrier user service.
