An apparatus and a method for transmitting/receiving an F-SCCH(Forward-Shared Control Channel) in a mobile communication system are provided to prevent a waste of resources in configuring a control channel according to the use of codewords when using more than one codeword. A scheduler(901) selects a particular resource block for transmitting a control channel for a packet. An F-SCCH signal generator(914) generates a control channel selectively including one of the first precoding information indicating whether or not the packet has been precoded by using one codeword and the second precoding information indicating whether or not the packet has been precoded by using one or more discriminated codewords. A symbol-resource mapping unit(905) maps the generated control channel to the particular resource block selected by the scheduler. The F-SCCH signal generator generates the control channel by further including identification information of a particular receiving device for receiving the packet, downlink resource block information for transmitting the packet, a TF(Transport Format) information of the packet, and information indicating the number of re-transmissions of the packet. |
