PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the occurence of a blow hole to improve joint strength.SOLUTION: A rotary electric machine includes: a stator in which a stator winding including a plurality of segment conductors 245 obtained by forming a flat wire in a nearly U-shape, is attached to a slot of a stator core; and a rotator. Adjacent ends 300 of the plurality of segment conductors 245 are welded to each other. The segment conductors 245 each have a non-deformation part 303, a plastic deformation part 301 formed in the end 300, and a taper part 302 formed between the non-deformation part 303 and the plastic deformation part 301. The plastic deformation part 301 is formed so that a dimension bd in a circumferential direction of the stator is larger than a dimension bp in the circumferential direction of the stator in the non-deformation part 303, and a dimension ad in the circumferential direction of the stator is smaller than a dimension ap in the circumferential direction of the stator in the non-deformation part 303. The segment conductors are welded to each other at an apex of the plastic deformation part 301. |
