PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curable resin composition for an organic insulating film which can form an organic insulating film having preferable sensitivity, resolving power and step-forming properties without causing residues even at fine contact holes.SOLUTION: A curable resin composition for an organic insulating film contains (A) a resin obtained by (co)polymerization of monomer components including compounds represented by the specified general formula (I) as essential components, (B) a photoinitiator, and (C) a compound having a radical-polymerizable double bond. (In the formula (I), Rand Reach independently represent a hydrogen atom or a C1-C25 hydrocarbon group with or without substituents.)
