PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deformed bar rolling roll improving durability of the rolling roll and suppressing a drop in efficiency and an increase in energy consumption, and to provide a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: In a deformed bar rolling roll used with a grooved roll in which a recessed groove 3 is arranged on the surface, and rolling a deformed bar, in order to form a projected section 4 with a width smaller than the width of the recessed groove 3 on the surface of a roll body, a coating layer 9 is formed by melting the roll body surface by pulse discharging and dissolving an electrode material in the molten portion at the circumference of the roll body surface positioned at the projected section 4, and thereafter the surface of the roll body formed with the coating layer 9 is ground to form the projected section 4. |
