PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a step-down DC-DC converter capable of achieving conversion into low breakdown voltage of a switching element by reducing a voltage applied when the switching element is switched from on to off.SOLUTION: An inductor L2 is inserted in series between an input power supply E and a switching element Q1, and an input smoothing capacitor C2 is provided between the inductor L2 and a junction point and a ground point of and the switching element Q1. When an inductance value of the inductor is taken as L2, an electrostatic capacity value of the input smoothing capacitor is taken as C2 and a time required for the switching element Q1 to reach an on state again after the switching element Q1 is switched from an on state to an off state by an output signal from a drive circuit DR taken as T1, the following Mathematical 14 is established. |
