[Problem] To provide a planetary gear reducer that is compact and can freely generate a large reduction ratio. [Solution] The planetary gear reducer has: at least one planetary gear that rotates by means of an input shaft and that has a shape that integrates at a predetermined phase difference in the axial direction a first and second gear having the same shape; an affixed sun gear that meshes with the first gear; and a driven sun gear that is formed with a different number of teeth than the affixed sun gear, meshes with the second gear, and is coaxially integrated with an output shaft. The affixed and driven sun gears are external gears, the input shaft is provided with an eccentric rotational plate that can rotate around a central axis line that is eccentric by a predetermined distance from the rotational central axis line of the input shaft, the planetary gear is provided with a shaft mechanism that is eccentric by the predetermined distance from the rotational central axis of the planetary gear and is eccentric in the same direction as the direction of eccentricity of the eccentric rotational plate, and the shaft mechanism is joined to the eccentric rotational plate in a manner so as to eccentrically rotate around the rotational center axis line of the planetary gear synchronously with the eccentric rotational plate. |
