PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To monitor supplied power of USB bus power to a printing apparatus, and to properly handle it.SOLUTION: Supply power Psup of a power source line for bus power is inputted by using a power measuring circuit (S110). If the supply power Psup is less than a threshold P1, a normal mode is selected in which acceleration operation of a carriage is started during line-feed operation of a paper feed roller and ink ejection operation of a print head is started during the acceleration operation of the carriage (S140). If the supply power Psup exceeds the threshold P1 and is less than a threshold P2, a first low-speed mode is selected in which the acceleration operation of the carriage is started after the completion of the line-feed operation and the ink ejection operation of the print head is started during the acceleration operation (S150). If the supply power Psup is the threshold P2 or more, a second low-speed mode is selected in which the acceleration operation of the carriage is started after the completion of the line-feed operation and the ink ejection operation of the print head is started when shifted from the acceleration operation to constant-velocity operation (S160). |
