SLAKED LIME, METHOD FOR PRODUCING SLAKED LIME AND ACID GAS REMOVING AGENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide slaked lime which has a sufficiently increased BET specific surface area and a sufficiently increased amount of the active constituent of slaked lime and keeps COD low and to provide a method for producing slaked lime.SOLUTION: Slaked lime is slaked lime produced through a lime slaking step 4 in which quicklime 1 is reacted with water 3. In the lime slaking step 4, a prescribed additive 2 is added and this additive 2 contains a material in which an organic compound having a hydroxyl group and an inorganic compound containing silicon dioxide are combined. Slaked lime produced using the additive can satisfy both low COD and a high specific surface area and is optimally used for an acid gas removing agent or the like.
