PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve grounding properties or braking performances on a wet pavement or ice road surface, while controlling deterioration of anti-wear performance and rolling resistance performance of a tire.SOLUTION: There is disclosed a rubber composition for tires, where 0.1-30 pts.mass of hydrophilic modified cellulose powder (e.g., carboxyalkylcellulose powder), and 0.1-10 pts.mass of an alkalline earth metal salt (e.g., calcium carbonate) based on 100 pts.mass of a diene-based rubber component comprising natural rubber and/or other diene-based rubber. Besides, the pneumatic tire is equipped with a tread formed by using the rubber composition. |
