PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently use a Peltier element even after the Peltier element is deteriorated.SOLUTION: A temperature control apparatus 11 comprises: heat quantity calculation means (CPU16) for calculating at least one of endothermic quantity Qc and heat release quantity Qh of a Peltier element 12; calculation means (CPU16) for calculating heat transfer rate K and resistance R of the Peltier element; and a Peltier element drive part 14 controlling amperage supplied to the Peltier element. Qc=-I×R/2+S×Tc×I-K(Th-Tc), Qh=I×R/2+S×Th×I-K(Th-Tc), where I represents current, R represents resistance of the Peltier element, S represents seebeck coefficient, Tc represents a heat absorption side temperature of the Peltier element, Th represents a heat radiation side temperature of the Peltier element, and K represents a heat transfer rate of the Peltier element. The heat quantity calculation means calculates at least one of endothermic quantity Qc and heat release quantity Qh by using the heat transfer rate K and the resistance R that are calculated by the calculation means, and calculates amperage in which efficiency of the Peltier element reaches the maximum based on the calculated endothermic quantity Qc or heat release quantity Qh. |
