PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a destination prediction device capable of highly accurately predicting a destination.SOLUTION: A departure point, a destination, and starting and finishing dates and times of each journey with a vehicle are recorded as a travel history of the vehicle in a travel history database 4. A holiday detector 74 detects holidays of a vehicle user based on the recorded departure points, destinations, and starting and finishing dates and times. A periodicity detector 75 determines whether or not periodicity exists in the intervals between the detected holidays and, when determining that periodicity exists, detects a characteristic period of the periodicity. A destination predictor 76 predicts a destination of the vehicle based on the detected characteristic period, a current location of the vehicle, and a starting date and time of a journey with the vehicle. |
