The arrangement comprises two engaged, toothed gear elements (1,2), where the depth of engagement of each tooth (4) engaging in the tooth gap (3) is determined, such that a free space (6) exists between a tooth tip (10) of the engaging tooth and a tooth root surface (5) of the tooth gap. A lubrication hose assembly (11) is arranged on one of the two gear elements. The lubrication hose assembly extends in the free space, and has an outlet opening for the lubricant, which extends into the free space and the lubrication hose assembly is connected with the lubricant supply line (16). An independent claim is included for a method for lubricating a gear transmission.
