The protector (2) has a central protection element (2.1) and arranged in a region of a handlebar (5) of a bicycle (1). The central protection element is projected beyond the handlebar toward both sides of the bicycle in a mounted state of the bicycle. The central protection element is extended along the handlebar from a steering wheel (3) to a foot platform of the bicycle. Two lateral protection elements (2.2) are arranged at side edges of the central protection element and swingable towards the central protection element. The protection elements are designed as rollers.
