The compressor has a rotor (115) within an elliptical housing wall (123) with a center point and displacement connected with a drive shaft (111) to rotate at a stationary central rotational axis (114). Fluid is transported from a suction region via an upper dead center with smaller chambers into a pressure area. The fluid is sucked into the suction region through a suction hole and a suction groove (141).
