The magnetic flux is detected using the distortion value, and the drive current is controlled using the detected value. In particular, in a fuel injection valve being a device that operates using electromagnetic force using a solenoid, valve operation variation arising from the impact of individual product variation and changes in environmental conditions can be suppressed and accurate measurement of injection amounts can be achieved, as a result of attaching the distortion detection means to the magnetic circuit configuration component on the outside of a fuel passage, and determining the drive current waveform on the basis of the detected value.
