Provided are a system and a method for failure prediction for electric equipment. A failure prediction method according to an embodiment of the present invention calculates power information and vibration information on electric equipment, and predicts failure of the electric equipment by means of an arithmetic operation performed on the combination of the power information and vibration information. Thus, the power information can be synthetically evaluated to predict failure of the electric equipment, thereby achieving improved accuracy of the prediction.
