PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a neutron detector having excellent neutron counting accuracy capable of accurately measuring neutrons even in the field where the dose of gamma rays becomes background noise.SOLUTION: In a neutron detector using a neutron scintillator, crystal containing lithium 6 such as Eu:LiCaAlFsingle crystal as the neutron scintillator crystal is used, and the specific surface area of the neutron scintillator crystal can has a shape of 60 cm/cmor more by forming the shape of the neutron scintillator crystal in a cube of, for example, at least length of one side smaller than several hundred μm. |
