<p>An operation section (18) which forms a stent delivery system (10) is provided with a rotation roller (40) meshing with a rack member (36). The rotation roller (40) includes a ring body (56) which is rotated by an operator, and also includes a pinion section (58) which is inserted in an insertion hole (62) formed at the center of the ring body (56) and which has a gear (38). A recess (64) which is recessed outward in the radial direction is formed in the insertion hole (62) of the ring body (56). The engagement of a protrusion (70) of the pinion section (58) with the recess (64) allows the ring body (56) and the pinion section (58) to rotate together. When the axial movement of an outer tube body (14) becomes difficult for any reason and the operator forcibly rotates the rotation roller (40), the engagement between the protrusion (70) and recess (64) of the rotation roller (40) is released, and the ring body (56) rotates freely relative to the pinion section (58). As a result, the outer tube body (14) is prevented from being forcibly moved in the axial direction.</p> |
