PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a jig for the cup seal mounting of a hydraulic master cylinder capable of mounting a cup seal to a cylinder hole excellently, and a cup seal mounting method.SOLUTION: A jig 30 for cup seal mounting mounts a cup seal 14 to a cup seal mounting groove 3d. The jig 30 includes: a cylindrical holding cylinder 31 inserted into a cylinder hole 3; a first locking member 41 that is fixed to the lower half of a tip of holding cylinder 31 and retains a lower part of the cup seal 14 at the tip of holding cylinder 31; and a second locking member 51 that is provided at the upper half of holding cylinder 31 so as to be slidable in an axial direction, and induces an upper part of the cup seal 14 to the tip of the holding cylinder 31 and into the holding cylinder. |
