PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide techniques for quickly and reliably identifying a transmission source that caused an abnormal condition of a communication node due to communication congestion or the like.SOLUTION: The apparatus for identifying a transmission device causing congestion of a communication node includes: an object-to-be-isolated determination unit that separates a plurality of transmission devices connected to the communication node into a group of connected transmission devices and a group of disconnected transmission devices according to a prescribed isolation method; a communication connect/disconnect unit that connects communication between transmission devices belonging to the group of connected transmission devices and the communication node, and disconnects communication between transmission devices belonging to the group of disconnected transmission devices and the communication node according to the isolation determined by the object-to-be-isolated determination unit; and a congestion determination unit that identifies the transmission device causing congestion by determining whether packets transmitted from the transmission devices belonging to the group of connected transmission devices congest the communication node. The object-to-be-isolated determination unit, the communication connect/disconnect unit, and the congestion determination unit are repeatedly run until the transmission device causing congestion is identified. |
