NETWORK SYSTEM AND TOPOLOGY MAP GENERATING METHOD

An object was to obtain a network system capable of automatically generating a topology map. A PON topology generating section (402) in a network system provided with a prescribed network comprising an OLT (101) and a plurality of ONUs (201 to 203) executes topology map generating processing. This topology map generating processing comprises: (a) a step of calculating the number (Nci) of a plurality of 2-way branches constituting the number of 2-way branches of splitters on transmission paths of OLTs and a plurality of respective ONUs, based on a plurality of transmission distances (Li), a plurality of downloading transmission power values (PT) and a plurality of downloading received power values (PRi); and (b) a step of generating a topology map based on the number (Nci) of the plurality of 2-way branches and the plurality of transmission distances (Li).
