[Class 65 (ii)] [Also in Group XI] A leaf-spring hinge connection for the lid 2 of a pocket lighter is such that the lid is held both in the open and closed positions. The leafspring 8 has upstanding lugs 9 which are notched to engage round an axle 10, which may be removably, mounted in notched plates 11 welded to the sides of the casing. The leaf-spring 8 acting in conjunction with the top edge of the casing wall causes the lid to be held in both its open and closed positions, the open position being such that the lid is held against the side wall of the casing. The spring 8 is forked to accommodate the snuffer cap 7 and is secured to an inner plate 14 of the lid 2 by wings 13 of a piece fastened by a screw 12 to such inner plate.
