PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently remove attached matters attached to a surface of a head without pressing the attached matters into a nozzle.SOLUTION: A maintenance device 10 for a head 32 of a droplet discharge device performing printing on a medium to be recorded by discharging droplets from nozzles 31 disposed on the head 32 includes a wiping member 1 for wiping attached matters on a surface of the head 32 on which the nozzles 31 are disposed. Elasticity of the wiping member 1 is ≥1,400 MPa and ≤2,900 MPa. |
