PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article receiving apparatus which performs article receiving operation similar to that at normal time even during a blackout, and further, functions as a backup power supply for a common part of a condominium during the blackout.SOLUTION: An article receiving apparatus for receiving articles by an article receiving box lockable by an electric lock, whose unlocking is controlled, via authentication using an authentication means allotted to a resident, includes: a battery charged by a commercial AC power supply while power is supplied by the commercial AC power supply; and a power supply outlet for supplying power, supplied by the battery, to load on the outside of the apparatus during a blackout of the commercial AC power supply. During the blackout of the commercial AC power supply, switching is performed so that construction members including the electric lock are driven by power supplied by the battery. When power supply from the commercial AC power supply is in a disconnected state, power supplied by the battery is supplied for the common part load of the condominium. |
