PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cause backup data to be stored in replaced data processing means to be also coupled to even backup data based on image formation processing executed before failure and after replacement in a consistent manner, and to continue normal image formation processing.SOLUTION: In an image forming device in which data processing means having a storage section for storing data to be managed in order to perform predetermined data processing can be detached from a main body and can be replaced, when the data processing means is determined to be replaced, data to be backed up out of the data stored in the storage section possessed by the data processing means to be replaced are transmitted to external storage means. Further, image formation processing is executed by using alternative data processing means replaced. Still further, provisional data generated in association with the image formation processing by the alternative data processing means are stored and coupled to one another in accordance with backup data to be input and a processing attribute of the data set (S1001 through S1012). Furthermore, the data coupled to one another are stored in a storage section of the alternate data processing means. |
