The device (1) has a steerable two-lane front axle (2) with rotatably received wheel carriers i.e. stub axles. A steering force transmission device (5) i.e. steering knobs, couples a guidance operating device with the carriers. A turning deflection of the carriers is adjusted over the guidance operating device and the steering force transmission device with respect to the front axle. A front axle support device (7) is pivotable with respect to the front axle, and the adjustment of the carriers is made by a swivel coupling device (8), which couples the carriers with the support device.
