PURPOSE: A method and system for distinguishing the boundary of trading areas using the density of commercial facilities are provided to distinguish the boundary and rank of trading areas using a hydrologic modeling method for analyzing the flow of water. CONSTITUTION: A method for distinguishing the boundary of trading areas using the density of commercial facilities is as follows. The distribution of commercial facilities in a target area is inputted as POI information to construct density data by grid (S10). The flow and basin of the boundary of the trading areas are generated within the target area by using a hydrologic modeling method for analyzing the flow of water (S30). The boundary and rank of the trading areas in the target area are distinguished through the basin (S40, S50).
