PURPOSE: A device for providing traffic information of an intersection and a providing method thereof are provided to contribute to a driver selecting a path by offering the traffic information of each road divided at a corresponding intersection. CONSTITUTION: A location detecting part(310) searches for the current location of a navigation device through a GPS satellite. A traffic information collecting part(330) receives traffic information through a communication network for storing the information in database. A path tracing part(320) traces a driving path for determining a target intersection. The path tracing part selects two or more branch roads of the intersection. An intersection information generating part(350) generates the road traffic related information of each intersection selected by the path tracing part. An intersection information alarming part(360) informs of the road traffic related information of each intersection with the navigation device.
