PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a driving loss, to avoid trouble such as seizure of a gear and a side plate, and to improve assemblability of a housing, by satisfying both of sealability by a seal member and frictional reduction of the side plate with respect to the gear.SOLUTION: In an external gear pump, side plates 30 are arranged between side surfaces 22 of a pair of external gears 20 stored in a housing 10, and cover parts 12 and 13 of the housing 10, and seal members 40 are arranged between the side plates 30, and the cover parts 12 and 13. The seal member 40 has a base part held in a groove part of the side plate 30, and an elastic lip part extending to the inner surface side of the cover part 12, 13 from the base part. A tip part of the lip part elastically abuts on an inner surface of the cover part 12, 13, and is also pressed to the inner surface of the cover part 12, 13 when receiving back pressure generated in the housing 10. |
