PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical cable housing tube which enables rising tube replacement work to be conducted without cutting an optical cable.SOLUTION: An optical cable housing tube includes: a pipe line member 10 where an opening 11 is formed at a center part on a surface ranging from the upper end to the lower end and having an oval cylindrical shape; a lid member 20 for closing the opening 11 after an optical cable 1 is housed in the pipe line member 10; an upper cap 30 where a linear split 34 for inserting the optical cable 1 is formed, the upper cap 30 for covering an upper part of the pipe line member 10 to which the lid 20 is attached; and a lower cap 40 where another linear split 45 for inserting the optical cable 1 is formed, the lower cap 40 covering a lower part of the pipe line member 10 to which the lid member 20 is attached and used for connecting the pipe line member 10 to which the lid member 20 is attached with an underground tube 4 in which the optical cable 1 passes.
