PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To implement such time synchronization as reduces structural cost and makes a correction to reduce the influence of a transmission path delay time.SOLUTION: A received packet identification circuit 31 of a time reception apparatus 3 receives a time information packet from a time transmission apparatus, and a time correction circuit 34 sets initial time of a timekeeping instrument 37. A packet generation circuit 38 generates a measuring packet including slave time information indicating slave time and feeds it to a packet transmission circuit 33, which in turn transmits it to the time transmission apparatus at a transmission timing earlier than the slave time by the time of a d value decided by a d value determination circuit 35. When the received packet identification circuit 31 receives a return packet, a time difference measurement timer 32 measures a time difference between the reception timing of the return packet and the reception timing of a subsequent time information packet. If the time difference is smaller than a condition value, the time correction circuit 34 corrects the time of the timekeeping instrument 37. If the time difference is larger than the condition value, the d value determination circuit 35 updates the d value to the current value minus δ. |
