<p>Provided is an airbag and airbag apparatus for which the airbag apparatus design conditions can be relaxed and the time and effort required for design can be reduced. An airbag (1) is normally folded and stored in an installment panel (I) and during an emergency is supplied with gas and expands and deploys between the windshield (W) and the passenger (P). The airbag (1) has the following: a flow control means (5) disposed in the interior of the airbag (1) and for controlling the flow of gas; a lower surface patch cloth (11) disposed on the lower surface portion of the airbag (1); an upper surface patch cloth (12) disposed on the upper surface portion of the airbag (1); and a side surface patch cloth (13) disposed on the side surface portion of the airbag (1). The lower surface patch cloth (11), the upper surface patch cloth (12), and the side surface patch cloth (13) completely cover the entire outer circumference of the front portion of the airbag (1).</p> |
