The fitting unit has an assembly portion (23) engaging with a hole of a plate-like material, and an adjustable part connected at the assembly portion and adjustable in a relative position. The position of the adjustable part is variable by the pre-mounted fitting unit inserted into the plate-like material. A protruding flange (14) is formed at a position element (13), which comprises an internal thread (9) i.e. left-hand thread, in a part that faces away from the assembly portion. A base element (1) is provided with an internal thread (8) such as right-hand thread. An independent claim is also included for a method for assembling a plate-like material at a stationary construction.
