PURPOSE: A sound absorbing and insulating member for preventing shear noise of an engine is provided to securely join a soft foam to a base because a joining area is widened by foaming. CONSTITUTION: A sound absorbing and insulating member(30) for preventing shear noise of an engine comprises a hard base(31), a short tube-shaped spacer(35), and a soft foam(32). A joining hole of the base is formed in a position where responding to a bolt of a damper pulley or a nut hole(23). One end part of the spacer is fixed to the joining hole of the base so that a bolt or a joining bolt(36) joined to the nut hole penetrates the spacer. The soft foam is insert-foamed in one side of the base so that a peripheral portion of the spacer is embedded in the soft foam. |
