SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MANAGING CASINO CHIP USING RFID

PURPOSE: A casino chip management system using RFID and a method thereof recognize the location of each chip on the table where a game is ongoing on a real time basis, thereby checking the number and location of chips which each user possesses, the total number of chips in each batting zone, and the number and location of chips which a dealer possesses. CONSTITUTION: An RFID tag is mounted on a casino chip (100). A plurality reader antenna (200) is mounted on a casino table (500) and at least one among the reader antennas receives an RF signal from the RFID tag. Each arrival angle estimator corresponds to each reader antenna and estimates the arrival angle of the RF signals. Using the estimated arrival angle and received RF signals, an RFID reader (300) checks the location of each chip. A location display unit (400) displays the location of each chip.
