METHOD AND DEVICE FOR MICRO-MANUFACTURING AND MICRO-WELDING

<p>The invention relates to methods and devices for the micro-manufacturing of parts, elements and sub-systems from the manufacturing materials thereof treated in liquid phase, as well as for micro-welding by means of the formation and controlled deposition of microdrops. The invention is characterised in that the aforementioned drops of the material to be treated in liquid phase are generated by means of the capillary break-up of microjets stabilised using a gas co-flow at a controlled speed. Said gas co-flow can be used to generate drops of highly controlled size and speed, which are completely non-viable in the absence of the co-flow.</p>
