PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing material for a solar cell having high safety during manufacture, capable of improving sufficiently the cross-linking rate of an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA), and suppressing foaming.SOLUTION: A sealing material for a solar cell includes: an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (A) having 25-35 wt.% of a structural unit formed of vinyl acetate; and a composition (C) containing an organic peroxide (I) represented by formula (I) and a diluent (B); wherein the content of the composition (C) is 0.1-4.0 pts. wt based on the 100 pts. wt ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (A), and a weight ratio (I:B) of the organic peroxide (I) in the composition (C) to the diluent (B) is 100:20-50, and the specific gravity of the diluent (B) is ≥0.75 to ≤0.87. |
