A volatile liquid emanation system is described including an emanation device (2) and a replaceable refill of liquid (3): wherein the refill (3) comprises a reservoir housing having walls containing a liquid reservoir of volatile liquid and a wick (7)extending from the interior of the reservoir to the exterior thereof; wherein the device comprises a device housing having a rear wall to which plug pins are connected, a front wall and side walls there between to connect the front wall to the rear wall wherein the housing contains a heater (29) and refill receiving means configured to releasably hold the refill within the device housing, and wherein the device housing comprises at least one vent hole (13) and at least one refill aperture (14) in the side wall to permit the refill access to the refill receiving means; characterised in that the front face has a rotatable dial (24) which is connectable directly or indirectly to the refill (3) when engaged with the device such that rotation of the dial (24) effects linear movement of the refill (3) away toward the refill aperture (14).
