PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television receiver connectable with a portable information terminal in which a video, based on the data of a multimedia file stored in a storage medium, can be displayed even if a decoder is not built in.SOLUTION: When a TV receiver itself does not have a decoder capable of decoding data of a multimedia file, selected by a user from the multimedia file stored in a USB memory, a CPU of the TV receiver transmits the data of a multimedia file selected and a decode request command for requesting the decoding of the data to a smartphone (S7), so that video signals and/or audio signals obtained by various decoders on the smartphone side can be received. Consequently, the CPU of the TV receiver can output the video and/or audio based on the data of a multimedia file selected to a liquid crystal display panel and a speaker (S8). |
