This bearing device is provided with a support ring which is disposed around a rotating shaft and also with bearing pads which are provided at positions between the support ring and the rotating shaft and supporting the rotating shaft. Some of the bearing pads are disposed under the rotating shaft, and key members are provided between the support ring and a carrier ring which supports the some of the bearing pads. The key members are inserted between the support ring and the carrier ring in the direction tangential to the outer periphery of the carrier ring and position the bearing pads and the support ring in the radial direction. |
