The present application relates to compounds effective as human protein tyrosine phosphatase beta (HPTP-²) inhibitors thereby regulating angiogenesis. The present application further relates to compositions comprising said human protein tyrosine phosphatase beta (HPTP-²) inhibitors, and to methods for regulating angiogenesis.
