Provided is a parameter estimation device which, in cases when parameter identification is performed for a numerical model in which a system is expressed using a differential equation, is capable of minimizing the estimation error of the parameters. This parameter estimation device is provided with: a mathematical model in which a system is expressed using a differential equation; an input signal detecting unit for detecting signals inputted to the system; an output signal detecting unit for detecting signals outputted from the system; and a parameter identification unit in which the input signals and output signals are inputted, and which performs system identification by using these signals to identify parameters used by a transfer function of the mathematical model. While performing system identification, the parameter identification unit identifies a transfer function initial value for a continuous-time system on the basis of the input signals and the output signals. |
